Single coating of green acrylic on most worn section after five years.
After five years, a single coat in the most vulnerable area is badly worn.

This 2004 project is the subject of my webpage on tin roof shingles.   The article on this page addresses a limited budget approach, asphalt covered shingles and the green tint.

The photo shows one coating of green acrylic over red primer on the sunny side of the Train Master’s Residence.

Looks like it is time to apply the final coverage of roof coating!!

Because we used a high calibar primer called Polaprime 21, we will be able to apply Wearcoat 44.  This formula will retain the richness of green color for a longer period.

I won’t be surprised to hear that the owner may ask us to freshen the white trim around the dormer.
