The new and old shingles are quite distinct in this photo of a church in Mt. Harmony, MD. But from a distance, the roof’s appearance is quite compatible.

On three projects, mixing old and new shingles taught us “mucho.”

Main tip: Avoid placing new shingles directly next to the vintage versions.
