Near Richmond, VA, way out in the countryside, we worked on this vintage home during February and March.  The lady of the house selected a custom color for their metal roof that matched the trim around the windows. She is an established artist with exhibits in the mid-Atlantic area. Her website illustrates some of her paintings.

The gentleman of the house is a history professor at nearby Charlottesville.  During the crew’s first visit, he gathered them into his 1700s kitchen and held a lecture on some local historical tidbits. When I quizzed one of the crew members later, he had indeed been listening.
